Snow Removal - City of Tomah
Please be advised that City of Tomah Ordinance requires removal of snow and ice from City sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowstorm. It is the responsibility of the owner of the property to ensure that sidewalks are properly cleaned. Failure to comply will result in the City cleaning the sidewalk and bill the property owner based on the sidewalk footage of the property parcel.

Supervisor. This is a supervisory
position working under the direction of the Public Works & Utilities
Director. Successful applicants must
be qualified to administer and teach basic operator training courses, must be a
Grade I WI water treatment plant operator in the following plant subclasses:
Groundwater, Distribution, Iron Removal, and Radium Removal. Two years of accredited technical school in
water treatment plant operation technology and 4 years of experience in
operation of a Class 1 plant preferred.
Attention to detail, hands-on work style, and customer service skills
are critical; project management, and strong communication skills are

Documentation is available for review at the City Clerk's office between 8 and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

clerical, accounting, and financial work in administrating the treasury
function of the City. This position
works under the general supervision of the City Treasurer, City Administrator
and City Clerk. Successful applicants must have a high school diploma
supplemented by courses in office procedures and accounting with experience in
Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Public Works/Water & Sewer Utilities Dir- City of Tomah, Monroe
County, WI. (pop. 9,192) is accepting applications for the Director of Public
Works and Water & Sewer Utilities to manage all municipal public works,
water & sewer utilities operations, which include: 89 miles of Streets and
Roads,60 miles Water/Sewer Utilities, with 7 sanitary lift stations, wells, two
water storage towers; 15 Buildings, and 18 Truck/Vehicle Fleet. This is a
vital management position requiring supervisory experience in all the above
areas, as well as administrating a $5 million budget. Successful
applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a degree in Civil
Engineering is preferred, or at least six years’ experience in the municipal
water and wastewater utility field. Five years of the water and wastewater
experience should be in a supervisory capacity with exposure to budgetary and
record keeping processes. Must have or be capable of obtaining a Wisconsin DNR
water and sewer license. Attention to detail, hands-on work style, and customer
service skills are critical; project management, and strong communication
skills are essential. Salary negotiable DOQ. The City of

BOARD OF REVIEW/OPEN BOOK NOTICE - CITY OF TOMAH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the meeting of the Annual Board of Review for the City of Tomah will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 819 Superior Avenue, Tomah, WI on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to review and examine the assessment roll of real and personal property in the City of Tomah, and all sworn statements and valuations therein, and correcting all errors in said roll, whether in description of property and otherwise, to hear any objections that may come forth, and to perform such other duties imposed by law.
OPEN BOOK ON THE 2013 ASSESSMENT ROLL will be held at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office, 819 Superior Avenue, Tomah on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday May 22-24, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The assessor will be available for appointments on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013. Please call 374-7420 or stop at the City Clerk’s office to schedule an appointment if you wish to meet with the assessor on May 23rd.
Persons wishing to protest their assessment must complete the required objection form and set up an appointment for Board of Review at the City Clerk’s office. Appointments will be scheduled in the order the forms are received. Completed forms should be submitted by noon on May 28th, 2013 and appointments should be scheduled at the time the form is submitted.

The starting rate of pay is $17.08 an hour.
